It's possible that a hippogriff is going to change my life

So since no one who doesn't already know really reads this yet, and I need an outlet, here we go!!
I can't believe that in a little more than 12 hours, my beloved husband is going to get on a plane and fly to Orlando for an audition, and then fly back home and let me know if I need to start packing or not. It seems like it's not real!! I can't actually think about the logistics too much, because it freaks me out to the point of having a breathing attack. We are one year into our house and that will be a huge thing to figure out. Where will I work there? Where would we live? How will I deal with being away from my friends and family? Something I have literally never had to deal with before. All these questions are new to me, as I have never had to think about anything like this before and have virtually zero experience with it.
I do think it would be a great adventure though, and that Brett would be amazing at this. So I'm trying to go with the flo and trust that things will work out exactly as they should.
And he's ready. He is so ready it's not even right. He has this on lockdown. The amount of time and work that he has put into this shows his passion and determination to get something that means the world to him. I love that about him, and I always have, but it's awesome to see it come out, because it does so rarely. He rarely has things that mean THIS MUCH to him and when he does, its no hold barred until he accomplishes it. I'm so proud of him and he hasn't even gotten to the airport yet.
I never thought I would be willing to move for anyone. Which means to me, that I must be ready for a new experience as well, because I am 100% on board. Plus, I am willing to do it for him. Which I never thought I would say about anyone. Again, a completely new feeling and experience that I never thought I would have until he came into my life. It amazes me how deep my love for him goes.
Gross, mushy, whatever. ;-)
Anyway. We'll see what the weekend brings. My mom says I am notorious for "putting the cart before the horse" but I say it never hurts to be prepared. =)
Wish us luck, whichever way this turns out!

Long time no write!

I totally meant to do this awhile ago! Oops!!! Anyway.
Not too much is new. Other than a few things kicking around in my head, but it will be awhile before those come to fruition, if they ever do. Is that how you spell fruition? I think so. Moving on!
We went down to see Grandpa Jack for a few days. It was fun! I won at cribbage several, SEVERAL times. =) The men were not too happy with me, but what can ya do? The town is totally torn up. It looks like a ghost town with all the boarded up windows and torn up trees. The storm they had was massive! Weird side note: I work with Grandpa Jack's next door neighbor [well, their son, but at one point, he was the neighbor too!] How small is this world?! In a few weeks we are going back down there and bringing Ellen with us. Shh.. don't tell him. It's a surprise, otherwise he'd never let us. =) But he'll love her the moment he sees her. I hope.
Other than that, work is nuts and life is moving along as usual. Well, at least it's moving, right? Things could always be worse and I need to work on being thankful for what I have!
Gosh, is it really almost fall already? Time goes so fast. =( I need a change!!!
LOVE and everything else!!

p.s. moment of silence for my tainted Vikings.......*sigh*

Aren't we just so cute in our darling picture? ;-) Wedding day, in case you couldn't tell. I don't usually run around in an ivory lace dress, complete with sash, so I'm sure that was assumed by now.

SO much going on. Max bought a new car, thus we now have a "new car" as well. By new I mean a 1997 Honda CR-V. But that car was my unicorn when I was 16, and now I have finally caught it. =) I can't even tell you how many times I begged to drive it, and now we have our own set of keys! Patience is a virtue, apparently.

Side note:

The new car has a real, bonafide bullet hole in it. Courtesy of my baby brother cleaning his gun while sitting in the front seat of the car during a hunting trip. Sometimes, I wish I could be in his head for just an hour. It must be a trip.

Other than that, I wish I could break everything down, but it's just so hectic right now. I think I need a vacation. And then a vacation from that vacation.

We are going to be babysitting our neighbor every Monday for a few hours. It will just be Brett and Seamus until I get home from work and crash the party. I think it will be a blast. I'm pretty sure Brett does too. Look at these 2 yahoos:

Seamus decided Brett made a nice pillow. And basically lives in those green golashes, by the way. He's the cutest kid in town, I tell ya.
And that's about it on this front for now. Hopefully soon, I'll have more to post! I dig this blogging thing. =) LOVE. And lots of it!!!

9 and 10

Continuing from the previous post:

9) Baby Peach! I am so excited. WE are so excited. I cannot wait to be an aunt, and who doesn't want an Uncle Brett? =) Maybe I'm biased, but I think he's pretty okay.

10) My mother is NOT going to be losing her job, and I cannot tell you how thankful I am for that!!! It was definitely a long shot, and it paid off for her, and I am SO glad.

There's also secretly a number 11, but that won't be til almost fall that I can talk about THAT. But it's a fun one too!!!

Here we go...

So Kendra!! Here it is. We've started a blog. =)
I don't actually know if we have anything terribly interesting to share, basically just the daily shenanigans of us. Which sometimes could be interesting I suppose!!
Current things I am thankful for/excited about [and I use I because I'm at work and Brett isn't here, so this is just from my perspective at the moment!!] In no particular order :
1) Brett found a new gig on Monday nights that he is VERY excited about. Thus, so am I!!!
2) Possible refinancing of the house that will save us some money each month
3) WORK. It drives me crazy, but I am lucky enough to have work to drive me crazy!
4) The ability to help out awesome friends for the summer, and have some company to enjoy as well!!
5) My daily convos with my dear sister-in-law, which [I feel] have given us an opportunity to grow closer and get to know each other more.
6) Brett and I have the luxury of going to the cabin for a few days, just us. I think it will be a great time to just be together and get away for a while. Thanks Dad, for letting us use it!!
7) I'm working an 8 day stretch currently, but then get 6 days off!!! =)
8) Our new backyard! This may sound lame, but yards in the city are hard to come by and ours is finally becoming one that we can hang out and spend time in, which is fantastic!
9)
10)
9 and 10 are blank because developments need to happen before they can be revealed, but they are totally awesome and I absolutely cannot wait. [And stop trying to guess all of you, they are 2 completely unrelated, yet brilliant things!!]

Hmm..what else. Conan and Ryan have been bickering back and forth about who rules the house. This is hilarious only when you learn that Conan, is in fact, a CAT. It's too hilarious to describe. The bar was raised the other day when Conan took the liberty of peeing in 4 of Ryan's shoes. I don't need to tell you how well that was received!!
Our house is finally coming together. We've been there a year now, and it finally feels like a home. Everything is where it should be and we have personalized it for us. I wish I had before pictures to show you, so you could see how much work went into it. But it's finished now, and we are LOVING it!!
I can't believe it's already almost July. The summer is going to fly. There's so much going on!! But I love summer, and I'm so glad it's finally here. It's a tad warm here at the moment, but thankfully we have AC!!
That's all I can think of for now. Maybe I'll have Brett take a crack at this when I get home. =)
LOVE!!
